Hi! Hola!

I’m Kathia Garcia! I’m a graphic designer based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a proud graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, where I earned my BFA in Graphic Design. I value thoughtful, research-based design—but I also love work that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I draw inspiration from my cultural heritage, science, history, personal experiences, and the beauty of nature.

At UCO, I mastered the Adobe Creative Suite and developed a strong foundation in branding, typography, publication design, and layout design. I also gained hands-on experience in motion graphics and UI/UX design. My academic journey, along with my internship as an in-house designer at American Fidelity, helped me build not just technical skills but also key soft skills like collaboration, creative problem-solving, and working efficiently under tight deadlines.

I love connecting with others who are passionate about design and understand its power to influence brands, culture, and communities. When I’m not designing, you can usually find me at the gym, spending time with family or friends, playing pickleball, thrifting, or recharging outside.

I’m always looking for new ways to challenge myself creatively and tell meaningful stories through design—whether big or small, serious or playful.
